**Wooden paipo belly boards hand-painted by Ty Williams—built to catch waves big and small**
As long as you have a really thick wetsuit, the rocky shores of Maine are a surfing destination just as desirable as any tropical locale. And our friends at Grain Surfboards are handcrafting some of the best wooden surfboards along that far north coastline. Their Wood Paipo board mirrors traditional Hawaii’n belly boards, or “paipos”, and is simply one of the most fun ways to catch a wave. They even got the extra special treatment with a custom design by their founder, Mike LaVecchia, and a hand painted graphic by our old friend and Maine-based artist, Ty Williams.
