**A headlamp that also functions as a lantern**

The Snow Peak SnowMiner Headlamp, which was given the 2012 Editors’ Choice Award by Backpacker Magazine, is a headlamp that doubles as a headlamp at the touch of the silicon light baffle. It can emit a focused beam for headlamp function as well as a soft ambient light for lantern function.
