**Shinola’s 10-Year Anniversary Watch—a decade’s long journey sealed in exceptional craftsmanship**
Shinola marks a decade in the watchmaking industry with a nod to where it all began: the Runwell 41mm. Longtime aficionados will recall Fossil founder Tom Kartsotis purchasing the brand with the goal of promoting the resurgence of American industry, using the hard-hit city of Detroit as its home base. To kick things off, he flew in dozens of Swiss watchmaking veterans to help train a group of nearly 100 jobless Detroiters with no prior watchmaking experience. The result was the Runwell—built to last and named accordingly—which sold out in less than two weeks. Now, for their 10-year victory lap, Shinola re-releases the Runwell with a custom version of their Detroit-built movement, the Argonite 1069. Limited to 1,000 pieces, each watch features a limited-edition marking of its number in the production line, a specially designed strap, and a custom “10 Year Edition” inscription on the dial and exhibition case back.
