**“Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don’t have any surface noise. I said, “Listen, mate, life has surface noise.” - John Peel**

That surface noise is one of the warm, fuzzy charms of analog recordings that aficionados, recording artists, and turntable enthusiasts alike treasure about vinyl—Tom Waits even went so far as to record sizzling bacon and add it to digital tracks to capture a semblance of the often-imitated-never-duplicated feel of vinyl. Whether it’s a warm summer night with the windows wide open or a chilly winter evening with the fire going, we love having a few friends over, serving up some drinks, and starting up the turntable with the sounds of our favorite records.
