**An iconic, workwear-inspired jacket built from genuine Harris Tweed**
There’s “fashion” and then there’s well-made menswear guided by the dual principles of design and function. We’re proud to report that Universal Works makes the latter. Founded in 2009 by a veteran of the apparel industry, the pieces in Universal Works collections take heavy inspiration from working-class heritage and underpin them with contemporary aesthetics. The Bakers Jacket is a UW staple that was designed as a tribute to the founder’s father—a hardworking man who relied on similar pieces of workwear his whole life. Only this time around, it’s built from Harris Tweed, a fabric that’s woven, spun, and dyed by hand in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland from pure virgin wool.
